Frank Law was born and raised in Little Texas, Macon County, Alabama. The only time he lived somewhere else was when he was in the Army during WWII. He added John to his name when he joined the Army as they required First, Middle, Last. He spent many years working at Hill's Hardware in Tuskegee and then at East Alabama Medical Center. When he retired from EAMC he started his own small engine repair shop in Notasulga, where he lived the last 19 years of his life. He was widely known as "The Lawnmower Man." He died at Bethany House Hospice in Auburn, Alabama, after being there for a week.
