Maria Mupsa Ignacio, of Goose Creek SC, entered into eternal rest August 30, 2012.

She was born in Bangar, La Union, Philippines on December 8, 1932, to the late Domingo R. Mupas and Dominga Datwin Mupas.

Maria loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very giving, generous, and charitable person, and she loved helping people.

Mrs. Ignacio was an excellent cook and volunteered in a soup kitchen. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goose Creek for over 40 years.

Maria is survived by her husband: Reynaldo Ignacio of Goose Creek; sons: Rey Ignacio (Cindy) of MS, Roy Ignacio of Georgetown, SC, and Roland Ignacio (Virginia) of Charlotte, NC; daughters: Windy Wilson (Mark) of CA, Allyson Giese (David) of MS, and Ann Johnson (Charles) of VA; grandchildren: Matthew, Irene, Ariel, Courtney, Reni, Allen, Dominic, Georgia, Charley, Marianna, Michael, and Peter. Funeral will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday September 1st, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 Saint James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC.
