Obituary: "Mrs. Leona B. Holmes, 76, of 4066 Avon Lake Rd, Litchfield, died yesterday at Lodi Community Hospital after an illness of a month. Mrs. Holmes was born in Camden Township and had lived in the Litchfield area most of her life. Her husband Charles died in 1955. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Ellen) Vormelker of Litchfield and Mrs. Ronald (Rena) Thomas of Lodi; a son, Charles, of Medina; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Irene Gott of Wellington; and a brother, John McBurnie, of Elyria. She was preceded in death by a grandchild. Friends will be received tomorrow from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Parker Funeral Home in Lodi where the funeral will be conducted Friday at 1:30pm. The Reverend Stanley Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Litchfield Cemetery." (Elyria Chronicle Telegram 11 Feb 1976)
