Mrs. Elisabeth Farthing Rice,
68, formerly of Utica. 1122 Pent. Elmira, died in her home Nov. 11, 1943, after a brief illness.
She was born Apr. 17, 1875 in Toronto Canada, daughter of the late Edward and Eliza Hopkins. She came to Utica when a young girl and moved to Elmira 13 years ago. She married George Rice in 1895.
Surviving are her husband in Ernira, one daughter. Mrs. Leroy Howland, Utica; four sons J. Howard Rice and Edward J Rice, Utica; Morley C Rice Yorkville, and George E Rice Elmira; several gradnchildren in Utica and Elmira and one great-grandchild in Utica.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the home of her son, Morley 16 bunker Yorkville. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery
