ASHLAND Mildred Herman Malt, 88, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Halstead Health Rehabilitation in Halstead.
She was born April 16, 1919, near Zenda to Otha G. and LuLu (Gleason) Holiday. She married John T. Herman on May 23, 1936, and he passed away Jan. 19, 1967. She married Fredde Edward May 3, 1968, and he passed away July 17, 1977. She married Sydney Malt April 5, 1980, and he passed away Jan. 23, 1993.
Mildred is survived by a son, Dennis Ray Herman and wife, Joanne, Newton; a stepson, Sydney B. Malt, Buffalo, Okla.; three daughters, Shirley Ann Barns, Palantine, Ill., Sharon Blackett, Magina, Utah, and Doris Howard, Emporia; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Holiday, and two sisters, Leona Burk and Thelma Mullendore.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Ashland, with Joe Conaway presiding.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Myatt Funeral Home in Ashland.
