OLIVER NATTRESS DIES
SUDDENLY IN SOUTH
DAKOTA LAST SAT.

Oliver Nattress, a long-time resident of the Milford community, died unexpectedly In his sleep at the home of his sister at Chester, S. D., on July 11, 1953. Funeral services; were held at the First English Lutheran church of Spencer Thursday afternoon, with the Rev. Lee Steffen officiating. The casket bearers were nephews of Mr. Nattress.

Burial was in Milford Cemetery. Oliver Nattress was born at Aurelia, Iowa, August 23, 1882, and died at the age of 70 years. As a young man Mr.Nattress moved to Dickinson county with his parents. He was married to Teda Lambertus in 1907 and shortly after the marriage they moved to Chester, S. D. They also lived at Springfield and Wilmar, Minn,, before returning to this vicinity. Upon their return to Iowa, they bought the home of Mrs. Nattress' parents and made that their home until the death of Mrs. Nattress last October [1952]. Mrs. Lambert Nolting, a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Nattress, and her family, now occupy the farm.

Mr. and Mrs. Nattress were the parents of three daughters, Mrs. Nolting, Mrs. Henry Lundblad of Spencer and Mrs. Fred Grobe of Spirit Lake, and one son, Cedric, who died about seven years ago, at the age of 37. His stepmother, Mrs. Lillie Nattress, of Milford, three sisters, one brother, five half-brothers and three half-sisters, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. The sisters are Mrs.
Roy Davis of Milford, Mrs. Alma Robar and Mrs. Earl Spawn, of Chester, S.D., and the brother is Cedric Nattress of Seattle, Washington.
