Born Isle of Flodda, Outer Hebrides. Emigrated to Georgia in 1883 with widowed mother, Effie MacDiarmid (nee Morrison), sister to John (plot 14) & Angus (plot 3) in 1883. Several siblings: Donald John (plot #20), Angus (plot #22), Archibald, Peggy & possibly Ann also came in 1883. Archibald, Peggy, Ann & mother Effie all returned to Scotland, though not all at the same time. Farmed with family in Fayette County on arrival. Southern Medical College 1891; former mayor of DeLand, Florida; served in the Medical Core during WWI; died suddenly of a heart attack on the Atlantic Coast Railway Train, age 50. NOTE: the year of death on the headstone is incorrect.
