Born Isle of Flodda, Outer Hebrides. Emigrated to Georgia in 1872. Worked as a book keeper/clerk for John (plot #14)/Angus (plot #3) Morrison in the hardware business. He took up farming in Shake Rag, Fayette County abt 1900. In 1883, he was joined by widowed mother, Effie MacDiarmid (nee Morrison), sister to John & Angus in 1883. Several siblings: John (plot #21), Donald John (plot #20), Archibald, Peggy & possibly Ann also came in 1883. Archibald, Peggy, Ann & mother Effie all returned to Scotland, though not all at the same time. Angus returned home to visit in 1898, traveled to Canada in 1914 (possibly to visit his eldest brother in Saskatchewan), and returned to visit in Scotland in 1921. He died of a heart attack one week after returning to Georgia from his final trip to Scotland. NOTE: the year of death on the headstone is incorrect.
