Marion Morrison (nee MacLean) left North Uist for Georgia between Aug. 1867 following marriage to husband John Morrison and before the birth of her first child in Georgia in May 1868. Her husband John and three of her four children are also buried in this plot.

Marion's brother, Malcolm (1831 North Uist, Scotland - 1920 Savannah, Georgia), came to Georgia at the same time as Marion's husband John. A descendant of this MacLean branch became mayor of Savannah in the 1960s.
