Charles "Chuck" Trapp, III was born on September 5, 1960, in Aberdeen, SD, to Charles and Lois (Christensen) Trapp, Jr. He graduated from Conde High School and then continued his education at Lake Area Votech in Watertown.
While growing up Chuck was active in sports, 4-H and showing cattle. He also loved to duck hunt and fish.
In 1979 he was united in marriage to Gina Haak. Chuck worked in construction and carpentry in California and Denver, CO, until having a work related brain injury in 1995.
Since then he has lived in various care facilities. The last 9 ½ years he was lovingly cared for by his sister Linda and the staff of the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center in Clear Lake. He was well known for his positive and upbeat demeanor, which brightened everyone's day.
He is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Carla (Ryan) Miller, Rapid City, SD, and Jamie (Blake Seibel) Trapp, Killdeer, ND; three grandchildren, Ella and Matthew Miller and Ava Trapp; mother, Lois Trapp, Conde, SD; sisters, Linda (Brad) Gauger, Clear Lake, SD, and Patty (Gary) Hearnen, Conde, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles Trapp, Jr.; brother, Bill Trapp and his grandparents.
