Ruth Burdett, 79, of Stockbridge, died Monday, June 4, 2012. She was born in Atlanta to the late Ruben and Leanna Reagan. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Burdett; children, Janet and Roger Sasser, of Savannah, Tony Burdett, of Atlanta, and Tim and Michelle Burdett, of Jackson; grandchildren, Heather and Joey Newsome, and Shane and Alissa Sasser; great-grandson, R.J. Newsome; sister, Martha Hinton, of Stockbridge; three brothers, Jack Reagan, Guy Reagan, and Thomas Reagan, all of Stockbridge.

Funeral services will be held, at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, June 6, at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Herman Miller officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 5, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to Grady Memorial Hospital at www.give.gradyhealthfoundation.org/donate.
