SAD DEATH IN GRETEMAN FAMILY.

One of the sadest deaths we have had for some time was the sudden calling away of Katie Greteman, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Greteman. The young lady was suddenly taken sick on Wednesday morning with the worst form of appendicitis and as soon as possible a start was made to the hospital but by the time the hospital was reached, she was found to be beyond all help, so nothing in the surgical way was done. She died the next morning. In all she was sick only 48 hours and everything that could be done was tried to stop the progress of the disease. The burial services were held Monday and drew an immense attendance of sympathetic friends.

The death of Miss Katie Greteman was indeed a sad one. She was taken sick Wednesday and after which she was taken to Des Moines accompanied by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Greteman and also Dr. A. R. Anneberg and her uncle. Friday morning at about 11 a.m. she died. She was buried Monday after services at the Sacred Heart church. Our warmest sympathy is extended.
