Edward H. Greteman

Templeton-Edward H. Greteman was born Aug. 21, 1895 at St. Killian, Minn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Greteman, and died June 20, 1935 at St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minn.

He spent his childhood and attended school at St. Killian until 1905 when he moved with his parents to Templeton, Ia., where he served as a carpenter until an injury sustained in that endeavor forced him to quit the trade.

After attending a barber college, he returned to Templeton in 1916 and established a barber shop and refreshment parlor, continuing in that business until this spring when failing health forced him to retire from active work.

Mr. Greteman was married to Captolia Hinrichs of Manning, ia., in 1927.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine, in 1907, by his mother in 1916 and by his father in 1923.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at 8:30. Solemn requiem mass was celebrated by the Rev. Frank Greteman of Sioux City, assisted by the Rev. Bernard Greteman of Vail, Ia., the Rev. Lawrence Greteman of Breda, Ia., who acted as master of ceremonies. The clergyman conducting the last rites were cousins of the deceased.

Edward Greteman, Templeton,Dies After Operation

39 Year Old Man Dies At Rochester, Minn., At 8:30 a.m. Today.

Edward Greteman of Templeton died this morning at 8:30 o'clock at Rochester, Minn., death resulting from a serous operation submitted to last Saturday morning.

Mr. Greteman, who is 39 years old, is survived by his wife, who was in Rochester with her husband at the time of his death.

He was formerly operator of the Templeton pool hall which is now run by Felix Greteman.

Funeral arrangements will not be completed until arrival of the body from Rochester.
