BARLOW — Julian "Fig" Newton, 54, died at 5:37 p.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a Ballard County resident most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Newton; two sons, Shawn Gray of Barlow and Dustin Newton of Paducah; one daughter, April Jane Purcell of Carlisle County; two brothers, Jimmy Newton of Dayton and Joey Donelson of Oscar; one sister, Joanne Donelson of Wickliffe; and eight grandchildren.
His parents were James and Laneatha Newton.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Morrow Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joey Donelson officiating.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
