According to the 'Annales de Saint-Aubin,' there was a report that she was burned by Foulques for adultery, a charge generally thought to be false. Alternate reports state she was executed for adultery and witchcraft by boiling, or that she died in a fire in Angers, most histories prefer the first possibility, though a fire burned the city of Angers within days of her reported death.
