She was on of a family of thirteen children born of the union of Cullen and Susan Hickok, none of said family being now alive. she was the widow of John W. Eberly who proceeded her in the year 1922. Mrs. Eberly had been a resident of Sandwich for many years, having resided in her home on Wolfe Street.
About a year after the death of her husband, she moved to Chicago to make her home with her son and with her daughter. She became ill on Saturday, April 27th, was taken to the American Hospital on Sunday and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30th, the immediate cause of death being pneumonia.
Mrs. Eberly had many friends in Sandwich especially among the older residents and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and will be missed by all.
Funeral services were held at the Sutherland funeral home Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.M. Lewis with Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
