Ellen met her husband Richard Ivey on Vancouver Island - who was also a miner. She delivered mail with horse & buggy. "Ivy Green" is names after her and Richard Ivey as the land they owned and the surrounding area was referred to as "Ivey's Green" Ellen's parents: John H Little & Sarah (Hawthorne) Little are also buried in the Ladysmith Cemetery.
Ellen & Richard had 4 children: Sara who married Fred Yearley; Grace married Noble Fee; Myrtle married Robie Duncan, and son Richard never married at died of TB.While he was institutionalized at Essondale. All of the "girls" were either divorced or separated from their spouses at the time of death.
