Per his death record, he died at Jennie Stuart Hospital on 12 Jan 1947. I am unsure why his stone states a different date. I am confident in his death record. He was 24 days old. It was signed by the Registar on 15 Jan 1947. I believe there was an error made on the stone.
Also, it lists Roy as a "Taylor" in his mother's obituary. Not sure why as his death record states his father is Alvin Wells.
