Mrs. Mary Nell Milam, age 83 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 05, 2012.
Mrs. Milam was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, where she had served as organist. She was the proprietor of Milam's Furniture Store in downtown Winnfield for many years. Prior to that she was a career Educator for the Winn Parish School Board.
Born Thursday, July 19, 1928 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her Father, Robert E. Beck, Mother, Louise Beck, Husband, Matt Milam, Jr., and 2 Brothers, Robert E. Beck, and Charles Beck.
Those left to cherish her memory include her 3 Sons, Tommy Milam and wife Connie of Monroe, LA, Michael Milam and wife Marilyn of Kennett, MO, and Matt Milam, III and wife Mary of Winnfield, LA, 7 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 07, 2012, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 08, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Phelps, and Rev. John Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Of Memories, in Winnfield.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Dr. Mark Shelton, Dr. Jimmy Walker, Jacque Derr, Jacque Derr, Jr., Marty Sanders, George Tannehill, Puckett Willis (Hon)., and Leo Shelton (Hon)., Harold Hickey (Hon).
