I was born in Winnfield, Louisiana in 1970, graduated from Winnfield Sr. H.S. in 1988, attended Louisiana College and am a 4th generation funeral director in a family business. (Southern Funeral Homes Inc.)

I am a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnfield, Louisiana and am a Free and Accepted Mason. I am a Past Master of Eastern Star Lodge No. 151 F&AM, O. K. Allen Lodge No. 33 F&AM., and Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 5th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Louisiana F&AM.

I am also a member of the National Funeral Directors Association where I served on the Policy Board for 2 years, Past President of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association (2020-2021), President of Winn Genealogical and Historical Society, member of Lt. Col. William Walker Camp No. 1738 Sons of Confederate Veterans, Member of Enemund Meullion Chapter Sons of the American Revolution in Alexandria, Louisiana, Past President of the Winn Parish Fire District(2017-2018), Justice of the Peace, Ward 7, Winn Parish, State of Louisiana and a former Deputy Coroner for the Winn Parish Coroner's Office for 12 years.
