was a member of the 1962 Howard Huslin
Tigers football team. He was
employed at Central Soya Co., and was
a former employee at Best Produce Co.
and Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
Survivors include his wife, Vanerelle
Hayes, Chattanooga; three daughters,
Princella Hayes, Chattanooga, Irish
Hayes, and Evelle Conley, both of De-
troit; three sons, Terrence and Seymour
Hayes III, both of Chattanooga, and
Kenneth Armour, Louisville, Ky.; par-
ents, Saymour and Aimela Hayes Sr.;
two sisters Laura F. Brown and Caro-
lyn Hickman; two brothers, Pervis B.
and Samuel D. Hayes, all of Chattanoo-
ga; six grandchildren; several aunts, un-
cles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ser-
vices will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the
funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gary
Davis, the Rev. Paul A. McDaniel and
the Rev. Grady Woods Jr., officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8
p.m. today at the Avondale Chapel of
Franklin=Strickland Funeral Home.
