PILOT MOUNTAIN— Mrs. Maria Varner, 56, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2004, at her residence.
Interment will follow at Glory Light Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 3, 1948, in Iredell County, to Steve Keziakos Hatgelis and Calliope Steve Hatgelis. She worked for Records Department of Moses Cone Hospital and was a member of The Greek Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her mother, two sons two grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Varner was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Varner, father, Steve Keziakos Hatgelis.
