Joseph Zeigler and Abigail Lightsey Zeigler had a third child named Martha Mae Zeigler. Martha married Samuel Lightsey in South Carolina and migrated to Lowndes (now Echols) County c. 1845. Samuel and Martha Lightsey are buried in a now abandoned cemetery known to some as the Jessie Howell Berring Grounds at Valentine, GA. Locals also know the area where the cemetery was as the Davis place. I know of no known list of everyone buried in that cemetery. I do have legal papers stating that this is their burial place.

Abegail was a gifted seamstress and made clothes for her relatives and friends. After Joseph's death, Abegail move to Pasco County, FL to stay with her daughter, Mrs. John G. Howell, where she remained until her death in 1876. She is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery about two miles West of Dade City, FL There are no dates on her headstone. The 1860 Federal Census of Echols County, Georgia lists an Abigill Zieglor, Female, aged 59, born in South Carolina and her occupation as a seamstress. Her husband, Joseph, was not listed as he died in 1860 just prior to the Census being taken.
