On the 1905 NJ census, she is 16, living with her parents and working in an embroidery factory. The census is not one that gives information as to schooling. In 1910, at age 20, she was single and living with her parents and siblings and working as a laborer for the Fire Co.
In 1914, according the the NJ Marriage Index, she married William Schulte. A wedding announcement gives name of "Shuler" with his father's name "Charles Shuler". He was born about 1891.
On the 1915 NJ Census, she and William Schute are living on Dolan Street. In their household are Theresa's orphaned cousins, those being: William Eberle, Thedore Eberle, Joseph Eberle, Clarence Eberle and Hedwig Eberle. Their parents, Gabriel H. Eberle and Marie Elizabeth Bausch Eberle, died in 1911. (Gabriel and Marie Eberle are the great-grandparents of the author of this biography).
Theresa Eberle Schulte and her husband William Schulte have a child, Elizabeth Schulte, who was born about 1916. She first appears on the 1920 census.
On the 1920 Census, Theresa is shown as Theresa Schulte, married. Her daughter is on the census; however, her husband William Schulte is not on the census. The same 5 cousins of Theresa are in the household, all unmarried. The author if this biography has not been able to find anything further about William Schulte.
This writer believes that Theresa Eberle Schulte marries her first cousin, William Eberle (full name William Fredrick Eberle) around 1922, based upon information from their 1930 census and from their gravestone. This William Eberle is the same orphaned, single cousin, on the earlier census records residing with his other siblings in Theresa's household.
On the 1930 census, they are living at 15 Dolan Street in Sayersville. William Eberle is shown as her husband; Teresa Eberle is shown as his wife; Elizabeth Schulte is her daughter and Theodore Eberle, William's unmarried brother is in also in household.
In 1940, she and husband William Eberle are still living at 15 Dolan Street and his brother Theodore is still living with them.
This writer can find no death record for her. The only thing is this Memorial. She appears on the same stone as her husband.
This writer has not been able to find anything for her daughter Elizabeth Schulte after 1930.
I very much welcome information and corrections, if any.
