A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Preacher Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hayes was born on Oct. 6, 1949, in Richmond County to Nolan James Boone and Effie Gibson Boone. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Hayes of the home; two sons, Jerry Lee Hayes and Mark Shannon and wife Charity, all of Lexington; and four grandchildren.
