Isham Hale∼A Revolutionary War patriot, John Hale enlised in Bedford County, Virginia in 1776. He volunteered in Capt. Harry Bluford's Company, Lt. John Frields, Ensign Abram Sharp. They marched to the Cherokee Country and were in the battle of Long Island. He was discharged and returned home. He went to school and re-enlised under Capt. Charles Watkins. He had 24 months service in all. His discharge was burned in Blount County in 1803. After the ware he moved to Wythe County, VA then to Green County, TN on to Washington County, TN then to Blount County, TN and finally to Bledsoe County about 1813.
