Rock Musician, Songwriter. Best known for his work with Fleetwood Mac (1972 to 1973). He acquired his musical skills as a guitarist at an early age and earned enough of a reputation to secure a place within Fleetwood Mac after Danny Kirwan was let go. He joined the ensemble during a pivotal time in the group's existence, when their blues-rooted origin was transforming into the style which made them a commercial success. Glimpses of that sound were heard in the albums "Penguin" and "Mystery To Me", both released in 1973 which Weston contributed musically. In addition, he wrote the soothing instrumental song "Caught in the Rain" from the "Penguin" album and co-penned "Forever" from the "Mystery To Me" record. Weston was expelled from the group by Mick Fleetwood after it was revealed he had an affair with Fleetwood's wife. Weston went onto Murray Head's ensemble and later recorded several solo efforts. He died from a variety of health issues.
