Passed away June 25, 2008 at Laurels of Galesburg. Jacob was born November 9, 1927 in Kalamazoo to the late John and Florence (Klooster) DeBlecourt. He was united in marriage to Anna Hamlin on January 14, 1972 in Portage, who survives. He was an active member and very dedicated to the Northeastern Baptist Church, for many years. He was a man who enjoyed fishing and loved to camp with family and friends. Jacob is also survived by his children, Don (Kathy) DeBlecourt, James DeBlecourt, Bill DeBlecourt and Rick (Robin) DeBlecourt, Jerry Tabbia, Larry (Mary Jane) Tabbia and Pat Tabbia; grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, and Sarah Tabbia; sister, Bertha VanderBerg; brothers-in-law, Steve (Mattie) Hamlin and Fred (Joan) Hamlin and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Louis DeBlecourt and Peter (Anna) DeBlecourt and sisters, Johanna (Herman) Penning and Teresa VanderVos; daughter-in-law, Julie Reynolds Tabbia; brother-in-law, Bob Hamlin; sister-in-law, LaVerna (Bud) Baker. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 11:00 AM. in the Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery Chapel. Family invites friends for a fellowship time immediately following the graveside services, at Northeastern Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Northeastern Baptist Church. 343-1508.
