Mrs. Josephine M. Shelton, died August 30, 1988, in Chippenham Hospital. Born February 17, 1903 in Chesterfield County. She was the widow of Willard Gordon Shelton, Sr. She is survived by one Daughter, Florence S. Newcomb of Roanoke, VA; three sons, Willard G. Shelton, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, Floyd A. Shelton of Richmond, Vernon C. Shelton of Annandale, VA; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Morrisett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10) where funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Shelton was a member of Branch's Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star No. 139.
