Miss Katherine Wood, 83, 2004 Petty Road, died Monday at her home. She was the sister of Dr. Amelia Wood of the Ball State University Health Service and had lived in Muncie since 1931. She was a native of David City, Neb., and was a retired librarian.

Miss Wood was a member of Paul Revere Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Christian Children's Association.

Surviving besides her sister are several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and before services here at 2 p.m. Thursday. Dr. E. Ernest Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
