Greendyke was a familiar figure in the Village and for some years had been employed by the Ridgewood Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
He was survived by his widow, the former Matilda Hymen; two sons, Matthew in Texas, and William;
daughters Adriana and Agnes; and brother John of Paterson.
Funeral services held at his late home, 209 West Ridgewood Avenue followed by interment in Fair Lawn Cemetery.
He was married to Matilda Hymen Greendyk. They had four children: Matthew Lester Greendyk, Adrianna Diana Greendyk Bubeck, Agnes Nellie Greendyk Coma, and William Charles Greendyk.
