Dorathy H. Wingerter, 95, of Murphy died Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Murphy Medical Center. She was a native of Livingston, NJ but had lived in East Stroudsburg, PA most of her life before moving to Florida for several years and to Murphy in 2004. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. Dorathy was a loving mother, grandmother, and gave many years serving the Lord with her husband's ministry.
She was the daughter of the late Gottlieb and Eva Elizabeth Weden Hockenjos, and wife of the late Frank W. Wingerter, who died February 17, 1978. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Hockenjos.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Jack Hollowell officiating.
Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Joshua Michaels, John Allen Lulay, Andrew and Stephen Benedick, James A. and Jonathan Wingerter, and Jason Savugot.
The family received friends from 12:00-1:45 Sunday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
