K. Knizewski, Brands Worker Dies Suddenly
Kasper Knizewski, Sr. of 654 North Divison Street, a retired Standard Brands employee, died suddenly yesterday at Peekskill Hospital. He was 71 years old. A yeast maker by trade, Mr. Knizewski, was retired from Standard Brands, where he was employed for 42 years. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Z.N.T. of which he was a past president of the local chapter and also a past financial secretary for 20 years of the yeast makers union and of the Hillside Polish Club. He was born on January 6, 1892 in Tikochin, nr. Warsaw, Poland.
The Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 AM from J.J. Dorsey Funeral Home and at 10 AM at the Church of Assumption, where a high mass of requiem will be offered. Interment will be at the Assuption Cemetery. In repose tonight from 7-10 and on Sunday and Monday from 2-5 and 7-10.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Parzachowska Knizewski, three sons; Joseph of Yonkers and Edward and Casper both of Peekskill, three daughters; Mrs. Thaddeus (Bertha) Stahurski, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Kohut, Sr. and Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Demchar, all of Peekskill: 16 Grandchildren: 4 Great Grandchildren; one stepson George Sikorski of Peekskill and one stepdaughter Mrs. Anthony (Katherine) Prince of Peekskill.
