When she died he kept one of the girls, Sheela, and raised her. Thanks to a find a grave person, I have found the other girl adopted by Henrietta Rodman, who was named Joan Rodman. Know nothing else about her. Married, 2nd, Elena Rice which resulted in divorce. Herman was a psychologist at the Alto Psychologic Center in San Francisco. He adopted a little Chinese girl as "Godchild" and lived in the Italian quarter of San Francisco. On the 1940 San Francisco census, he lists a "foster son" named Manuel White, age 21 and born in the Philippines. A very strange man. He left a very eclectic will which was published in newspapers around the United States. He does not mention anyone by name in his will, only that he wants everyone to know he is of "sane mind."
