Wayne was of the Protestant faith.
He was a United States Army veteran and served in Vietnam.
Wayne worked at Prince Minerals for 27 years before his retirement in 2008.
Wayne loved being with his family. He enjoyed mushroom & blackberry hunting and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife, Beverly, survivors include:
ONE BROTHER: Kenneth Schellbecher of Texas;
ONE SISTER: Connie Gooding of Quincy;
ONE SISTER-IN-LAW: Martha Potter of Pittsfield, IL;
Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews also survive.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bonnie Sparks, and a brother, Gary Oberdahlhoff, and his beloved dog, Molly.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Paloma Cemetery conducted by Major Alan Wurtz. There is no visitation but family & friends are invited to the graveside service. Memorials are suggested to the Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE.
