Evelyn Spires, Tifton June 28, 1912
Little Evelyn, the six months old baby girl of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Spires, died at their home on Third Street Sunday afternoon, June 23, at four-thirty, of a complication of diseases.
The remains of the little babe were interred at Oak Ridge cemetery Monday morning at ten o9'clock. Rev. C. W. Durden, of the Baptist church, conducting the services.
Little Evelyn was taken seriously ill a week before death and after that time slight hope was entertained for her recovery.
