Eutimia Buelna, the fifth child of Bonifacio Buelna and Gertrudis Higuera, was born at Gonzales and baptized at Mission Santa Cruz on 16 Mar 1856 with the name Maria Eutimia Buelna. Her Godparents were Guadalupe Castro and Angustias Castro according to a transcription of that record.

Around 1875 Eutimia met and married the dashing Carlos del Carmen Alviso and during the next 25 years twelve children were born to them. Of these, four died early but the remaining eight children provided Eutimia and Carlos with many grandchildren who continue to grow this family.

On January 19, 1911 Eutimia was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery in Madera, Madera, CA. Several of her children are buried in this same cemetery.

From the Madera Mercury, Saturday, January 21, 1911:
LAID TO REST
From Thursday's Daily.
The funeral of Mrs. C. Alviso took place this morning from the Catholic church, and was attended by the friends and relatives of the deceased and of her family. The services consisted of the burial service, after which the remains were borne to the hearse and the funeral procession proceeded to Calvary cemetery, where the interment took place.
