Mrs. Mackall was born June 11, 1930 in Kershaw, SC a daughter of the late T. Ben and Myrtle Edna White Davis. She was a 1947 graduate of Zoar High School and received her RN degree from Camden School of Nursing. Mrs. Mackall did post graduate studies at Charity Hospital, Tulane University, and Duke University. She was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Julia was a retired RN with Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. where she served for many years. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla. and was a former member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she worked with the G.A.'s. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 74.

In addition to her parents, Julia was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilton B. Mackall; two brothers, Lewis and Frank Davis; and by a sister, Mary D. Pusser.

Surviving are: 1 brother, Judge Edwin M. (Betty) Davis of Chesterfield, SC; 1 sister, Carolyn "Nookie" Goldsmith of Chesterfield, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
