Funeral services for Lydia E. McKarcher, 89, a longtime Pullman resident and homemaker, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at St. James Episcopal Church in Pullman. Mrs. McKarcher passed away on Jan 20 at Palouse Hills Nursing Center in Pullman of age related causes.

Lydia was born Jan. 1, 1912, in Yagada, Russia, to Adam and Elizabeth Poffenroth Kromm. They migrated to the United States and came to Colfax in 1913, where Lydia spent her childhood.

Mrs. McKarcher married Reggie A. McKarcher June 18, 1932. Mr. McKarcher passed away June 20, 1970.

Mrs. McKarcher was an active member of Saint James Episcopal Church, many bridge groups and the Lunch Bunch.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Jo and Keith Lincoln of Pullman; a son and daughter-in-law, R.A. Skip and Sharon McKarcher of Hawaii; two grandsons oand their spouses, Kip and Kim Lincoln of Olympia, Wash., and Lance and Stacey Lincoln of Pullman; three great-grandchildren, Madeline Lydia Lincoln of Olympia, Brandon and Tyler Lincoln of Pullman. She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Titus; two brothers, Raymond Kromm of Spokane and Elmber Whitey Kromm of Colfax; and one great-grandson, Dylan Lincoln of Pullman.

Donations can be made in Mrs. McKarcher's name to Saint James Episcopal Church, 1410 N.E. Stadium Way, Pullman, WA, or to Hospice of the Palouse.
