Lura Pryor, 88, of 729 E. 18th St., Pittsburg, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center.
She was born March 17, 1913, at Springfield, Mo., to John and Mellissia (Harrol) Raney. She moved to Pittsburg in November of 1928, and had been a resident ever since. On March 22, 1930, she married John Pryor at Pittsburg. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Mrs. Pryor was a homemaker. She belonged to the First Baptist Church, Pittsburg. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Pryor of the home, Reida Maxwell of LaPine, Ore., and Kathy Ward of Mulberry; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Pittsburg, with pastor Ed Matako and minister Edward D. Bayless officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, which is handling all arrangements.
