Florencia was the first child of Manuel Enriquez and Juana Bojorques living in Pajaro near Watsonville until her family moved to Las Juntas, Fresno County, California.
According to her baptismal record at Our Lady Help of Christians, Watsonville, Santa Cruz, California on 25 Nov 1861, she was born on 07 Nov 1861 and not 27 Oct 1861, the date her family thought was her birthday.

She first married Manuel Estrada at age 14 on September 14, 1876. This marriage was recorded in Visalia, St Mary's Catholic Church Marriage Records, Page 238; Residents of Las Juntas, Fresno, California. Florencia and Manuel moved to Firebaugh where their first child was born on 10 Nov 1877. They had 6 children before Manuel abandoned his family, moving to Visalia to marry a 16 yr old girl.

Florencia worked at the hotel as a maid trying to support her 5 young children until she married Nemecio Gonzales, a sheep shearer from New Mexico. With him Florencia had 8 more children. Florencia lived most of her adult life in Firebaugh, moving to Fresno in her later years.
