Virginie a graduate of University of California at Berkeley, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She married in Berkeley, Alameda Co., California, October 27, 1917, at her mother's home in Berkeley, Arne Knut Bours Hoisholt. Virginie was married in a gown of white satin over which was worn a tunic of embrodidery and silk lace. The bridal veil reached the hem of the gown and was caught with orange blossoms. Arne was a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of California, was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. His father, Dr. Andrew Hoisholt, is one of the best known scientists in the state. Sadly, Arne, a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps died a year later in a fiery plane crash in France during WWI. There was one child born to this marriage, Arne Virginie Hoisholt, born 4 days before her father died. Virginie married 2nd, in Oakland, CA., Chester Lawrence Gorrill, September 14, 1922. He was the owner of large farming interests near Redding, California, where they made their home.She is not buried in the de Fremery Family Plot, but a separate part of the cemetery. Sister of Paul, Adolph, Leon, and James de Fremery.
