Eugene Peevyhouse, 78, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Stigler, died 18 July 1998 in an Oklahoma City hospital. Services were held in Mallory Chapel, burial followed in Keota Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Peevyhouse, Jackie Peevyhouse, David Daubert, Boozer Edwards, Jackie John Blackwood and Roy Lee Lollis. Peevyhouse was born 17 May 1920 to Samuel E. and Lela Mae Hayes Peevyhouse in Kanima. Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Edwards and husband Eugene of Oklahoma City, Helen Lollis & husband, Leroy of Longtown, three sisters, Jerlene Hoskins, Agnes Tullis and Norma Martin, three brothers, Bud, Nathan and Mike Peevyhouse. Also grandchildren Randall Gene Peevyhouse and son Tony of Luther, Zella Daubert & husband, David, Sr., son David, Jr., of Tuttle, Jacky Ray Peevyhouse & daughters, Ariel & Jessica of Luther, Edwinna Burgess & husband Arnold of Longtown, Cathy Wilburn & daughter Courtry of Oklahoma City, Leanna Cowan and husband, Randy and sons Rondell and Daren of Eufaula, Roy Lee Lollis of Eufaula and Jackie John Blackwood of Oklahoma City. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Alta Virginia, and two sons, Lucky Randall & Jimmy Ray Peevyhouse. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Eugene was my Uncle.
