His real name was Herman Jan Jacob KALDEWAAIJ,but millions of People in HOLLAND knew him only under his Artist name.
Willy was born March 30th.1905 in HOLLAND.
In the time before Television was the Source for Entertainment,just a few Persons had the FIRST small Black and White Television Set,Willy and his partner Piet MUIJSELAAR,where famous for their Revue Performances on Stage but also in a Radioprogramm "De Bonte Dinsdagavond Trein" and both dressed as women there Revuenames were" Snip & Snap ".
Queen Beatrix honored Willy with a Royal Decoration:
"Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau ".
Willy died March 12th.2003 and is Cremated in His Home Village BENNEKOM-HOLLAND.
The Gravestone on this Memorial,is of Willy's Partner,Piet Muijselaar,who died May 6th.1974.
Willy's Widow,also an Artist,came from DENMARK and Her name is Aase RAMUSSEN.
Artists like Willy are very rare and His admirers miss him very much.
