--Married on October 9, 1851, to John Marshall Sudderth.

--Upon the arrival of the Civil War, John Marshall Sudderth fought for the Confederacy and moved his family to a log cabin on the Abington Road near Lenoir where they could be safe in 1861/1862.
--10 children: Sarah E. (1852-1907), Catherine (1854-1903), William Henry (1857-1919), Anderson Toliver (1859-1935), John Lloyd (1862-1962), Joseph W. (1964-1896), Thomas R (1867-1938), Julius Abraham (1869-1955), Nancy Olivia (1872-1951), and Mary Etta Suddreth (1876-1966).
--Mary was a farmer's wife.
--She helped raise her grandson Fred S. Suddreth, son of Nancy Olivia Suddreth.
