Margaret Haley, 83, died at her home in West Canton,NC following a lengthy illness. She was the widow of W. M. Haley who died in 1926. Funeral services were held at West Canton Baptist church, of which she was a member. The Reverend C.H. Green and Reverend C.W. Brown officiated. Grandsons were pallbearers and granddaughters were flowerbearers. She was survived by two daughters, Mrs. H.A. Raines of Canton and Mrs. J.T. Pressley of Candler, three sons, M.D. Haley, G.W. Young, and Homer Young (Farmville, VA) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wells Funeral Home of Canton was in charge of burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Buncombe County, NC.
