Mrs. Roberta Hawkins Bickers (Happy), age 67, of 2003 Hickory Valley Rd., died Saturday in a local hospital. She was the widow of W. C. Bickers, who died in 1947. A member of the Grace Episcopal Church, she was born and attended school in Sewanee, Tenn. After completing her education there, she entered nursing school at Newell Hospital in 1921. At one time she served as supervisor at Children's Hospital. After Mr. Bickers death, she returned to the nursing profession at Women's Hospital until her recent illness.
Mrs. Bickers is survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Lester and Miss Vivian Hawkins, both of Lakeland, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the east chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Balch officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
