On Saturday night May 10th, 1913, the death angle visited the home of Mr. Newton Smith of Spring Creek and called away his father-in-law, Mr. Jack Woody had been in poor health for several years...
His remains were interred at the "Flats Cemetery", on Monday following, Rev. Hall conducting the funeral rites.
Mr. Woody leaves five children, all of whom are married and a vast number of friends and relatives to mourn his sad loss.
