Welker, Lenore (28 APR 1914 - 23 MAY 2003)
OWEN - Lenore Welker, 89, of Owen, Clark County, Wis., died Friday, May 23, 2003, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A memorial mass will held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen. Burialwill be in the Riverside Cemetery of Withee. Rev. Eric Linzmaier will officiate

Maurina Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lenore was born on April 28, 1914, in Abbotsford, the daughter of Charles and Rose (nee Chris) Knaack. Lenore and Orville "Bud" Welker were married July 12, 1931, in Neillsville. He died on March 29, 1998.

She worked at the Clark County Health Care Center for 29 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Joan Welker, of Owen, and Dean (Charmaine) Welker, of Wausau; two grandchildren, Michelle (Steven) Peter, of Ringle, and Deann (Kevin) Roble, of Nekoosa; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Peter, Austin Roble, Ashlyn Roble and Ethan Roble; two sisters, her twin, Eleanor Thorson, of White Bear, Minn., and Imogene (Eugene) Mertens, of Withee; and one brother, Donald Knaack, of Pueblo, Col.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Charles and Rudolph Knaack.
