Mrs. Eugenia Scarborough Quidley, 85, did at the family residence at Hatteras Sunday night [Nov. 4, 1951] at 11 o'clock after an illness of one month.

She was a native of Ocracoke but had been living in Hatteras for the past 60 years. She was the wife of the late W. Scott Quidley.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vera Robinson of Hatteras; two sons: Walter Quidley of Washington, DC and Winslow Quidley of Chelsea, Mass; one sister, Mrs. Jonie Williams of Ocracoke; two brothers: Thaddeaus and Charlie Scarborough, both of Ocracoke; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Twiford Funeral Home in Hatteras.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the Hattteras Methodist Church by Rev. W.B. Gregory, pastor, assisted by Rev. G.R. Thomas of the Assembly of God Church, and burial was in the family plot.
